GEAR LIST: 24-hour teams

- Writing utensil(s) [helpful for marking up maps!]
- Working cell phone (to be kept OFF and used only for emergencies)
- First aid kit in waterproof bag containing, at minimum: 1 bandage (2m long and 7.5cm wide), 1 triangular bandage, 2 sterile wound dressing (7.5cm x 7.5cm), 1 surgical tape, 4 doses antihistamine. Recommended items include analgesics, anti-inflammatory tablets, electrolyte replacement, antidiarrheic, antiseptic cream, and blister treatment.

- Water purification method for entire team
Full Time Mandatory Individual Gear [Each team member must have the following at all times]
- Face mask (must fully cover nose and mouth and be easily accessible to racers at all times)
- Whistle
- Space blanket
- Means to carry at least 50 oz. of liquid
- Waterproof jacket (this is mandatory regardless of weather conditions)
- Means to carry mandatory gear (e.g., backpack)
- Headlight (with enough batteries to last for the entire event)
Mandatory Team Biking Gear [1 per team must be carried on all biking sections.]
- Tire pump or CO2 cartridges
- Tool kit for repairs (e.g., changing a flat, chain repair)
Mandatory Individual Biking Gear [Each team member must have the following on all biking sections.]
- Mountain bike. Road or other bikes not allowed.
- Flashing red tail light
- Handlebar-mounted front lighting system
- Bike helmet
- Spare tube that fits your tire size
**Packraft Division** Mandatory Paddle Gear [Each team member must have the following on all paddle sections.]
- Packrafts to fit entire team and their gear
- PFD (type-III or higher; provided) per racer
- Paddle per racer
- Glowsticks (100mm or longer) and zipties: 1 glowstick per racer AND 2 glowsticks per boat with sufficient zipties to secure them to boats and PFDs. For example, 1 team of 3 racers with 2 packrafts would require 3 glowsticks for racers and 4 glowsticks for boats, a total of 7 glowsticks.
- For additional, non-packraft paddle section(s), race management will provide kayaks, PFDs, and paddles to the specifications listed below for the "Non-Packraft Division"
**Non-Packraft Division** Mandatory Paddle Gear [Each team member must have the following on all paddle sections.]
Race management will provide kayaks, PFDs, and paddles. You may use your own PFDs and paddles if desired.
- 1 double kayak or 2 single kayaks provided for teams of 2 (depending on team category), 1 double and 1 single kayak for teams of 3, 2 double kayaks or 1 double and 2 single kayaks (depending on team category) provided for teams of 4.
- PFD (type-III or higher; provided) per racer
- Paddle per racer (Racers may bring their own paddles.)
- For teams bringing their own paddle gear, please also bring a bag that will fit all gear.
