Mandatory Paddle Gear [Each team member must have the following on all paddle sections.]
Canoe (or kayak for solo racers) [provided by race management]
PFD (type-III or higher) per racer [provided by race management]
Paddle per racer [provided by race management]
All teams will have access to their paddle bags before and after each paddle section, so you may use your own PFD and paddles for these sections if you choose. Teams who are not bringing their own paddle gear can still pack 1 paddle bag with extra food or other gear.

Mandatory Individual Biking Gear [Each team member must have the following on all biking sections. Racers may participate without a bike, but those who plan to bike should bring the following gear.]
Bike. Any bike is acceptable but a mountain bike or bike capable of riding on packed dirt surfaces is recommended for teams wishing to obtain all checkpoints. Child seats or other bike attachments are welcome!
